About Us

Warm Hearts Homecare was proudly started in August 2016 by my father, Don Burns. Don began Warm Hearts Homecare after spending 17 years caring for his own mother, Betty, with the help of his wife, and then for his in-laws between 2012 and 2021. Don noticed a change in care between his own mother and his in-laws as his in-laws both lived to be almost or over 90 years of age. His mother’s physical health declined but her mind remained sharp to the end of her days. It was only when both his in-laws developed mentally degenerative conditions that it first occurred to him that with the aging population, more and more people need help with daily tasks that they are mentally no longer strong enough to complete, even before their physical condition requires them to receive medical care.

This realization led to the forming of Warm Hearts Homecare, a non-medical homecare agency aimed at helping your loved one complete daily tasks that for any reason they are not able to complete themselves. From helping with laundry to transportation to helping individuals shower, there is no task too big or too small. Whether you need help for a limited time (ex.: a few weeks of help after a major surgery) or you are looking for care for the duration of your or your loved one’s life, we are here to help!

Beginning in the spring of 2024, my mother and I joined the homecare team, and we are looking forward to helping serve you and your loved ones! As a family we know the depth of caring for a loved one. We know what an impact an unhappy elderly can have on everyone else’s daily life and how far just a little extra help and support can go. Bringing her parents into the final stages of their lives is one of the hardest things my mother has ever done, and all my father and I could do was show up every day to help with whatever issues each day brought. We as a family keep this loving, endless patience in mind with our work as we seek to help any and all going through what we have. My father begun with one simple motto that remains true today: “OUR FAMILY HELPING YOUR FAMILY”.
